NIGEL

I can't stop thinking about Nigel. I think about the day we got him and how excited we all were. He was the best dog I've ever had. He was my first indoor dog which meant we spent a lot of time together. We all bonded with him right away. The kids, our friends, our neighbors, everyone loved Nigel. I am thankful he came in to my life even if it was a short while. Only now is it that I can begin to understand what David, the prior owner, felt when he had to let him go. Rest in peace my dear dog Nigel, the coolest dog I've ever met.

randomness

Im so excited I just ordered the Enzo Milano Conico Wand. It's a really cool clipless curling iron that makes wavy spirally curls. I have a cheaper version of this tool but the Enzo Milano is the Louis Vuitton of curling irons. Ok, on to other things. I have a client who would like to know what products I use for removing make*up and also what eye cream I use. To remove my endless layers of eye shadow, mascara, & liner I use Neutrogena Cleansing Hydrating eye makeup remover. As far as an eye cream goes I'm not to sure if I will be repurchasing my Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating eye cream. I did like it in the winter when my skin is extremely dry. But I don't need the extra moisture during the summer. I think I drink more water in the summer which is really nice for my skin. Speaking of water, I love the new Starbuck's Via Iced coffee. It makes for a lovely summer treat. I bet it's how holy water tastes.

Father's Day

Father's day is just around the corner. Here are a few of my favorite gift's for dad's.

Buy dad a gift certificate for a haircut.

Hair product, my fave is Redken's 'work hard' It's versatile for pretty much all hair types and styles & it smell's great.

Keep him from wearing suspenders and get him this cool belt from REI.

Take him to the movies and watch The Karate Kid. It'll be just like the good ol' days, except this time you pay: )

Classic briefcase, this McKlein briefcase has lot's of great features. The look is pretty classic and strays away from looking like a messenger bag.

sugar plum

Today I went to the Sugar Plum Festival in Orange County. It was a craft lovers dream. Everything from Popcorn shirts to Antique's. What exactly is a popcorn shirt you ask, It is a one size fits all fashion wonder. Becky did me the honors of modeling one for all to see. She picked the leopard one because we all know that one size fits all animal print is the way to go this season. Here are some photos of todays findings.

These are the amazing curls that my new Conair Conical wand create. The curls can me made looser by raking your fingers through. You can also take bigger sections for beach waves. I bought a heat resistant glove at Sally's. I recommend using a glove.

PROM

It's that time of year again. Girl's running around planning the perfect prom, and hairstylist's stocking up on hairspray and bobby pins. I love this time of year. Here is a pic of a classic Hollywood Glamour hairstyle that I did today. I was rather pleased with the outcome and can't wait to see what tomorrow's clients bring.

achoo...cough!

The only thing that kept me alive these past few days was my Hubby, and knowing that my Ulta package would soon arrive. I've been sick as a dog with an incurable cold. I even worked with a fever! Now if I'm no Wonder Woman, than I don't know what I am! But anyway back to my Ulta purchase. I finally bought a conical wand! It's supposed to give you Gisele Bundchen curls. I can't wait to get it! I also ordered a bunch of other stuff but I don't remember what. That's the last time I shop while under the influence of NyQuil!

Sunday

A Spring baby shower is the perfect opportunity to debut a Spring dress. Oh, and new sandals of course. I totally get that my blue sandal's don't really match, but that's what is most appealing to me about this look. Both dress and sandal's are from Forever 21.

My new blush : I love the color but it's hard to control how much comes out of container. I bought the Pink Ice/Ginger. The pink looks really pretty on. It leaves a dewy glow with a slight pink tinge. Got a great deal from Ulta.

Betsey Johnson
Scissors/Heart Mismatch Earrings
Ear Mismatched Scissor Drop Gold/hem

Loving my lashes

For the past two days I've been using Cover Girl Last Blast Fusion mascara & I love it! I have really put my lashes through the ringer these past few months and this mascara makes them look full and long. No more eyelash extensions or eyelash perms for me.

Happy Mother's day indeed

I had a great Mother's day. I spent the day with E , my mom, dad, & the kid's. The kids made me the sweetest cards. E bought me some Sephora goodies and my parents got me a much needed vacuum. I finally got the Buxom lash liner brush. It is an amazing tool that creates a very thin line. It has a tapered point that makes it easy to add a little drama to the outer corner of your eyes. I also got Buxom Dolly Does...Amsterdam set. It comes with a Buxom Lash Mascara, a lip stick in Amsterdam, a Lip Plumping lip gloss in Dolly, and a insider eyeliner in Onyx. This liner is great for your water line (inner rim of eye). Hopefully I will wake up early tomorrow so that I can use all of my new make up. Some more good news, my dear friend B picked up a Juicy Couture tennis racket charm for me at the Juicy outlet. I can't wait to add it to my charm bracelet.

little tokyo

Today was such a lovely day. The hubby & spent the day together just hanging out enjoying each other's company. One of our stops was a fantastic little store in Little Tokyo called Pop Killer. I bought a cute head band there. The store has vintage clothes, accessories, and cool T-Shirt's. I wore my Tarina Tarantino butterfly necklace. I love it! Swarovsky Crystals go with everything. Oh & I got my Pixi make up palette. I haven't used it yet but the colors are so pretty and it came with two neat little bags. These pics were taken by the hubby. Check out the head band and necklace.

Beauty shopping! Yay!

I shopped at Target for cosmetics today and it was sooo fun. I think because everything was super affordable and I didn't feel guilty the way I do at Sephora. One of the items I bought today was a Pixi must have kit in "Pretty Perky". This item is sold at Target but I bought it from beautyticket.com. It was way cheaper than at Target even with shipping. I will review this palette in a future blog. Oh and I finally got the Sonia Kashuk foundation brush that I've been eying for a few weeks now. It is a flattop foundation brush. I hear these brushes are really good for blending your foundation and tinted moisturizer. I'll let you know. This brush was also on sale which makes it an even sweeter deal. I also got a new mascara from Rimmel, two bronzer's from Physician's Formula, and a few other things from E.L.F. but I can't remember exactly what right now. I can't wait to try my new makeup tomorrow, it will surely make cleaning day more fun.

Lemon

It is apparent that I did not do any house work today. It is crystal clear that I had a lazy day. I did however spend quality time with the kids. We went on a bike ride after school in search of an ice cream truck, this was Ethan's brilliant idea. We rode up and down the neighborhood with no luck. When we got home we got ready to head on out to the ball field. Ethan had a game today. I rode my bike and the kids rode their scooters. It's not very far and it was a lot nicer than the ride I had a couple of days ago to a different park. I've really enjoyed being without a car these past few days, I'm making lemon aid out of this lemon. Next week I may even take the bus to work. What an adventure that will be.

Last minute shopping

Last minute shopping trip last night at Macy's and Sephora. I went shopping for Neeny's birthday. She is one of my bestie's at work. I started off at Macy's, in the shoe department. I found a pair of Rocket Dog sandals that really caught my eye. I might go back for them. After I left the shoe department I went to accessories which is why I was at Macy's in the first place. I browsed through all the jewelry lines looking for something that screamed Neeny! When all of a sudden BAM! right in my face was a Jessica Simpson pink, heart pave necklace. Super cute, super Neena. It was $25 dollars but when I got to the register it had been marked down to $12. Yay me! I left Macy's and went to Sephora. Well, a mini Sephora inside of JC Penney. It's the closest Sephora I have and this was an emergency. I bought Neena lip gloss . The colors are lovely and now I want a set of them.

Bike ride

The mini van is on the fritz and it will not be ready until tomorrow so in the mean time we are a one car family. E drove the kids to the park today and I rode my bike there. Now it's important you have a clear mental picture of the things I saw and most importantly, the things I imagined. My grizzly little story begins with a scary encounter with a car around the corner from my house. I was crossing the street and he was turning the corner really fast. Needless to say I was terrified and my journey only went downhill from there. Finally I composed myself and was on my way. I was about half way there when I swear a man on a bike was following me. Now that I think of it he may have been trying to just pass me up. I imagined him throwing me off and stealing my bike. I would end up on the street half dead with no bike. Once I got out of that creepy little neighborhood across town I felt safe. I was on a busy street and could see the park from where I was. I got to the park in time to see my son hit a triple. I was a proud mom with soar legs.

Vegas baby!

My oh my. How can I sum up the weekend and truly give it justice. All I can say is that the high's were high and the low's were low. Our group consisted of 27 family members all in Vegas for a wedding. I really got to know E's family and I absolutely love them. Our family trip was fab and I can't wait for the next one. I didn't even care that I didn't do any shopping, I did however put my Brazilian Blowout to the ultimate test. I let my hair air dry after getting out of the pool & I didn't look like a poof ball head. My hair looked fantastic if I do say so myself. So I must give props to my amazing Brazilian Blowout. Which by the way I am doing the Brazilian Blowout in case you are interested. So all in all I had a fantastic weekend, not just because I have amazing hair but because I have an amazing family.

BLAHHHH

What is it called when you have so much to do but you don't want to do it? Oh yeah, it's called being lazy. That's exactly how I'm feeling. We are leaving for Vegas in less than 2 days and my to do list is out of control. I should have taken the day off from work tomorrow. I did however accomplish a few things today. After work I did some shopping. I went to this new boutique in Long Beach called Lauri's Little Secret. I bought a cute blouse and Becky bought a super cute dusty rose maxi dress. I also went to Old Navy to buy a pair of flip flops to replace the one's Ben ate. Ben is our hound dog who has an appetite for chanclas. I had a successful Ross trip. I snagged three dresses for under $50. A floral maxi dress, and two short casual dresses. I hope these outfits work with Vegas weather. I better go to bed if I plan on conquering that to do list.

Comfy shoes?

I thought these would be appropriate work shoes. My aching feet beg to differ. Maybe I'll try wearing them on an easier day.
